Islands Fellowship June 7, 2025

This past weekend my halau Anapanapa Wai O Puolena participated in the Island Fellowship event at Nagai Uminote Park Soleil Hill in Yokosuka. Thank you Toshiyuki Takahashi san for planning this for all of us: hula teachers and students to enjoy. Toshi san's Islands Fellowship vision was for everyone to enjoy and be happy seeing and supporting each others hula performance, and to spend the day meeting and making friends. Toshi's event lived up to his concept and it showed on everyones' smiling faces throughout the day. For hula aloha, it's nice when everyone's heart is focused on the same goal and is willing to contribute something kind and beautiful for the event's success. My halau and I are looking forward to the next Island Fellowship which will be held on October 4, 2025.

先週末、私のハラウ「アナパナパ・ワイ・オ・プオレナ」は、横須賀の長井海の手公園ソレイユの丘で開催されたアイランド・フェローシップに参加しました。フラの先生方と生徒の皆様が楽しめるイベントを企画してくださった高橋俊之さん、ありがとうございました。高橋さんのアイランド・フェローシップのビジョンは、皆が互いのフラパフォーマンスを楽しみ、応援し合い、一日を共に過ごし、友達を作ることでした。トシさんのイベントはまさにそのコンセプト通りで、一日中、皆の笑顔が溢れていました。フラのアロハ（愛）において、皆が同じ目標に心を向け、イベントの成功のために何か優しく美しいものを惜しみなく提供してくれるのは素晴らしいことです。私のハラウと私は、2025年10月4日に開催される次回のアイランド・フェローシップを楽しみにしています。
